Bowie Custom Drum proudly announces our first endorser, Stephen Smith, of the Jackson, Mississippi based band Around the Bend and formerly of the band That Scoundrel. We will be building a custom signature model acrylic snare for Stephen.

We are now offering snare drums in carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is lightweight, strong, and has surprising tonal qualities. It is loud like a metal shell and has the warmth and tone of wood.

Carbon fiber snares are quickly getting the attention of drummers and recording studio engineers.

Bowie Custom Drum is now offering high gloss polyester. Polyester is the hardest and glossiest finish used in the musical instrument industry. This type of finish is used by leading maunfacturers like DW, PRS Guitar, and Fender. We are proud to be one of the few custom drum builders offering this finish.

I have been building drums out of my small Maryland shop now for about three years. What makes my drums different is attention to every detail. The culmination produces a drum that will amaze - in sound as well as fit and finish. So what kind of details Am I talking about? Most drums - except for single flange hooped - are equipped with nylon washers under the tension rod head; a good many builders do this, but ours are "captive" and will not fall off the rod when you change heads.

Real Fire Airbrush..

This 7" x 14" maple drum has a triple black base color with real fire air brush art work and a high gloss catylized urethane top coat. The Trick multi-step strainer is extensively modified and features a "shifter" ball with shift-gate pattern.

The Quick Action R1 quick release lug system on this drum provides both a quick head changes and integral tension rod locking.
